The Softball Queensland State Championships provide a great opportunity for all 16&O male softballers from across the state to represent their District Association and be considered for State Team selection. The event is a key participation offering and part of the Queensland pathways program with all associations vying to be crowned state champions. The Open Men's Championships is one of the biggest events of it's kind in Australia and is always well attended by spectators, consisting typically of traveling and local families and general softball supporters.
